RACL-Series single-acting lock nut cylinders are constructed of light weight aluminum and offer exceptional durability for long term mechanical load retention. All surfaces are finished with a hard coat to resist damage. A hardened steel stop ring and composite bearings give greater resistance to side loads and a longer cylinder life. An integrated stop ring prevents over-travel for safe operation and a high strength spring for quick cylinder retraction.

Overview

The Kashon RACL-Series single action aluminum lock nut cylinders are built for safe and reliable mechanical load retention over extended periods of time. They are quite good in the power-to-weight ratio, weighing about half of comparable steel ones, which makes them easier to transport and position. These cylinders’ lock nut feature guarantees secure mechanical clamping, which makes them an ideal selection for demanding applications.

All surfaces of the RACL-Series cylinders are hard coated for optimal durability to help resist damage and corrosion. Composite bearings and a reinforced steel stop ring improve cylinder life and increase side-load resistance by up to 5%. All variants have a steel base plate and hardened steel saddle to prevent against damage from the load.

The return spring is of high strength for the quick retraction of the cylinder. This inbuilt stop ring is a safety element that prevents plunger over-travel and can handle the full cylinder capacity. All RACL-Series units rated to 10,000 psi (700 bar) include handles for transportation as standard
